As for the living...my own salvation has been questioned by someone. It made me angry. But, in retrospect, I see why it was questioned. My spiritual life was barren. A tree is known by its fruits. If there is no fruit on a fruit tree, should we ignore it, or tend to it?krickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10026802791047876843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7665150935242567246.post-22741138229415688592009-02-20T10:03:00.000-08:002009-02-20T10:03:00.000-08:00I don't dwell on "what will heaven be like?" I long for heaven, ceaselessly, but daydream about it never.krickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10026802791047876843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7665150935242567246.post-10582112872953857422009-02-19T14:12:00.000-08:002009-02-19T14:12:00.000-08:00Thanks for you comment Cindy,One of the most revol...Thanks for you comment Cindy,<BR/>One of the most revolutionary things that I remember in my early theological development was a pastor saying to me:<BR/>"We think there are going to be a lot more people in heaven than there actually are going to be in heaven." That was formational for me.Scott Mooberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04032667872776319310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7665150935242567246.post-2809234943821240002009-02-19T11:49:00.000-08:002009-02-19T11:49:00.000-08:00I often prefer not to dwell on the question of whe...I often prefer not to dwell on the question of whether or not a person is actually heaven bound or, if no longer living, been graced with a current place in heaven. I think I prefer not to dwell there because many times I think I already know the answer and find the conclusion hard to accept. Other times, I don’t want to go there because I know that I don’t want my own declaration of salvation questioned, so, I think ...who in the world am I to question someone else’s? MMMmm … ok, well, maybe I do actually dwell on it more than I think I do!clockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10502748674367048780noreply@blogger.com
